Sound Mind & Body, your Hatteras Island House, is the perfect place for your next vacation. It features five bedrooms which sleep 12, a hot tub, WiFi access, panoramic views of the Pamlico Sound, a well-stocked kitchen, a kayak, lockable outdoor storage area (with built-in racks) for windsurfing and kiteboarding equipment and wrap-around decks. The house is also “baby ready” and includes a high chair, booster seat, playpen/crib and gate.

Floor by Floor

The top floor offers a large great room with gorgeous sunset views, a deck with heavy-duty (and comfortable) Adirondack chairs and a picnic table, a gas fireplace, a kitchen with gas range and breakfast bar, a half bath, a flat-screen TV with digital cable and DVD player, X-Box 360, FAX machine, CD player and radio plus a book and movie library.

The middle floor features four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, laundry facilities, a six-person hot tub and a shaded deck for reading and relaxing. There is also a section of the deck that is sunny most of the day and allows a private area for tanning. All bedrooms have TVs with digital cable and DVD players. There is one queen bedroom, one king bedroom, one bedroom with two twin beds and one bedroom with two sets of bunk beds.

The ground floor has the master king suite with private bath. This bedroom has a flat-screen TV, digital cable and DVD player. Outside, there is a large lawn, lockable storage area, basketball backboard, gas grill, fish cleaning table with hose bib, covered parking area for at least two vehicles plus a picnic table for adjusting and repairing gear, stairs to the sound and an overflow gravel parking area. There is also a game closet adjacent to the parking area featuring outdoor games.

Sound Mind & Body guests also enjoy memberships in Klub Koru and a local pool that also features tennis courts. During your week’s vacation, you will be able to work out at the Spa Koru gym.
